Congress Ratifies Board Appointments

Boulder, Colo. – USA Rugby’s Congress overwhelmingly supported the appointments of Bill Middleton and Peter Seccia to the USA Rugby Board of Directors at the annual Congress meeting held in Dallas, last weekend.
Peter Seccia, a partner at Goldman Sachs, has been involved in the game of rugby for many years in New York, Japan and London as player, coach and administrator. He has a passion for the development of youth rugby and a commitment to help grow the game in the USA. Seccia was a member of the 1985 Xavier (NYC) High School National Championship team. He will serve a four-year term on the Board.
Bill Middleton has been a member of the USA Rugby Board since July 2006. He is the current Chair of the Youth and High School Committee and had his Board term extended for an additional four years.
Further appointments included Francois Viljoen being re-elected by the international athletes on Congress as the male International Athlete representative to the Board and Annie Collier (IA) being elected by the full Congress as the Congress representative to the Audit Committee.
