Queen Coach Happy with Dartmouth Trip

Queen’s University head coach Peter Huigenbos said his team’s 2-0 weekend at the Royall Lyme Classic at Dartmouth what just what the doctor ordered.
“We thoroughly enjoyed Hanover, as always,” Huigenbos told ERugbyNews. “Dartmouth appears to have one of their strongest sides in recent memory and were excellent hosts. It was good to play Boston College for what I think is the first time in Queen's history. They were strong young men, and put a lot of solid hits on our players, particularly in the hard fought 2nd XV game.”
Huigenbos said he uses the event and road trip to help his team bond, and to play some unfamiliar opponents.
“It is always good to see the improvements our veterans have made in the offseason, and to see what our new players are capable of bringing to the team,” he said.
Leading the way for Queens were Canada U20 wing Chris Barrett, veteran lock Shane Baddeley, electric flanker Pat Richardson, and Canadian U20 hopeful Matt Kelly, a freshman.
