All Blacks Highlight SFGG Player, Coach Camp

San Francisco - The San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club announced that it will host Elite Rugby Day Camps for both coaches and players at Rocca Field on Treasure Island, San Francisco, California this June 25-28.  

The camps will include coach Scott Robertson, former New Zealand All Black, World XV, Canterbury Crusader and Super 12 player of the year and current Canterbury Crusaders Skills Coach, as well as coach Greg Feek former New Zealand All Black, New Zealand Maori, Canterbury Crusader and current Wellington Hurricanes Scrum Coach.  

 

The camps will also feature other notable coaches such as former USA Eagle fly half Grant Wells in kicking seminars, as well as others.  The camps will provide modules in skills handling, decision making, kicking, line outs, and scrums from specialist coaches.  For the coaches, there will be coaching sessions in set piece tactics with line outs and scrums, defensive patterns and techniques, modules regarding ball in contact and team play including demonstrations, video analysis and others. 

 

The camps will take place from June 25th to June 28th for players and June 27th through June 28th for Coaches.  Cost is $300 for players and $150 for coaches.

Their depth of rugby knowledge and professional approach to the game is unprecedented,” said SFGG Director of Rugby Paul Keeler. “With the quality of the coaching program and our facility we have put together all the ingredients to put on a successful and enjoyable rugby camp for both players and coaches.”
