A census conducted by ERugbyNews and Rugby Magazine over the past couple of months indicates that there are now 811 Boys and Girls High School / U-19 rugby clubs operating in the US. This is an increase of 254 (+46%) over the 557 clubs that were listed in Rugby Magazine’s April 2004 National Directory issue.

Of the 811 clubs, 305 (38%) are single-school, 471 (58%) are multi-school teams, while 35 (4%) were not characterized.
