Norwich Women Finish 2nd in Montreal

Norwich University’s women’s team finished the Montreal Irish tournament this weekend with a 3-3 record to follow up on last weeks’ 12-12 tie with the Burlington women’s club.
The Irish tournament is a tough one and Norwich were winless in their last visit there in 2008. This time, Norwich defeated Hamilton WRFC 7-0 while losing to the Montreal Irish and Acadia University (10-0 and 12-7) in pool play.
That sent them to the playoffs where they downed Bishops University 15-5 and got their revenge over Acadia 7-5 in the semis. That set up a rematch with the Montreal Irish in the final, where the hosts won 20-0.
