Women's Premiership Latest

Sunday Sep 27, 2009 in Women Clubs

Big scores in the West of the Women’s Premier League, as the Berkeley All Blues defeated ORSU 44-10, and the Minnesota Valkyries put a beating on rivals Twin Cities 45-5.

The Valks spread the ball successfully against their longtime rivals and were perhaps a little surprised to be so successful. ORSU may have struggled against Berkeley, but it’s worth noting their ten points against the All Blues more than doubled Berkeley’s points against for the season.

In the East, it’s all very close going into the final weekends. New York hit DC hard 56-0. But in the other game Keystone upset 2-0 Beantown 15-13. This means that Keystone, New York and Beantown are all at 2-1. Beantown remains 1st due to bonus points, the last one being earned for Sunday’s close loss.

Sunday results:
New York 56 DC 0
Keystone 15 Beantown 13
Berkeley 44 ORSU 10
Minnesota 45 Twin Cities 5
