Belmont Shore and the San Diego Surfers both moved to 3-0 with wins on Sunday in the women’s Competitive Region 1 league.
Shore and the Surfers came into the weekend 1-0, and both posted victories Saturday, and then switched opponents, and won on Sunday, as well.
It was a big weekend for Jill Whitfield, as she scored a try in Belmont Shore’s 15-7 win over the Nor Cal Triple Threat on Saturday, and followed that up with four tries in her team’s 43-5 defeat of the Sacramento Amazons on Sunday.
