Pearl City Wins Iowa Battle
Monday Sep 14, 2009 in Amateur Competitions Division I Clubs

Pearl City moved to 3-0 in the Midwest DI Western Conference with a 41-15 defeat of Palmer Monday evening.
The game was delayed until Monday because students at the Palmer School of Chiropractic had exams this past weekend.
Davenport, Ia.-based Palmer held their hosts close in the opening half and the two teams changed ends with the score 15-12 in Pearl City’s favor.
But the Muscatine, Ia.-based team blew things up in the second half, running in four tries to win 41-15.
“They turned it on in the second half,” said Palmer president Matt Phinney. “Not the result we were looking for but now we know where we need to tighten things up.”
With five of the eight regular season games to go, Pearl City is in outstanding position to win the Midwest Western Conference yet again.
