North American Four Tournaments

The dates and venues have been set for the spring contests of the four American and Canadian teams that will participate in 2007’s IRB NA 4 tournaments. The “spring training” will determine who from the squads is picked to represent the two nations in September’s World Cup.

April 7 – The USA Hawks and Falcons will play each other at the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club in San Diego, CA. This match follows an innovative week of training session at the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. Canada will also hold its first match between its East and West sides on April 7. The two Canadian teams will play at Thunderbird Stadium, at the University of British Columbia.

May 9 to May 12 - May begins the first series of round robin games between the four teams that eventually will determine the championship pair. The US is the host in Seattle’s Starfire Sports Complex.

June 2 to July 7 - In July it's Canada’s turn to host with the first game set for the Brockton Oval in Vancouver and the second match July 3 at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club in Vancouver. The NA4 Finals are scheduled for Rotary Stadium in Abbotsford on July 7.

The historic raison d’etre for these NA 4 championships is to give North American players an opportunity for top quality competition and playing together as a unit before international matches.
