Canada to Card Women Players
Sport Canada announced that it will fund the Athlete Assistance Program for the national senior womenís rugby program in 2007. Bolstered by the national team's 4th-place ranking at the 2006 World Cup, and the knowledge that there will be a Women's 7s World Cup in 2009 (and the fact that the Canada women's 7s will compete in San Diego in February).
